Introduction of setting and characters.

Introduction of setting and characters.

Tirion is a magical elven city in the middle of Du'Taure(Dark Forest). This city has been build by both the help of the magic of Elves and the craftmanships of the humans. They had built this city as a santuary back then for both the High-Elves and Human innocent civilians to escape The War. The buildings were made in harmony with nature, all parts of the building was shaped using nature and is later crafted slowly by using the Human’s craftsmanship. But some of the humans have long left the city of Tirion and moved to dwell among the other humans in the jungles of Darmeth while some stayed back after The War ended. The elves there worship Mya, their goddes whom they believe is the one protecting them.

Valerie is just another typicall High-Elf maiden who likes enjoying her life. She's only 119 years old and is at the peak of her youth. Besides helping her Uncle Elune, who brought her sister and her up ever since they were just a child, at the church in the morning, she also takes up fencing lessons. Everyone in Tirion is required to contribute to defend and serve their city. Each and every Elf and Human have a unique gift, which ranges from swordsmanship to healing abilities. Although Valerie’s uncle keeps reminding her for her strong magical abilities which seems to be supressed within her and she’s the only 1 who could utilise it, she retorted back, “Rubbish, I hate magic and you know it.” Her old uncle hieved a sigh and left her to her daily routine with her sword. Her short hair, slim figure and chocolate brown with matching eyes is what many Elf warrior find her attractive and irresistable. But some say that her elder sister is way more beautiful and elegant than she is.
Vivian, on the other hand always spends her time at the Royal Guard Hall, practicing her magic with all the other sages.Vivian practices magic and who to use it for defence and offence. They’re just 35 years of difference between the 2 of them. Though relatively close when considered to elven years, Vivian is much more mature and wise and always considered the outcome instead of just rushing onwards to conclusions. Though they are sisters, they seldom hang out together. Nevertheless, Vivian never fails to show her attention and care for her younger sister. Young and beautiful with long straight golden hair, she’s one of the High Mages of Tirion. Though many witches say that she has an evil side to her, Elune rejected all of these claims about her and believes she’s one of the most trustworthy person in the whole of Tirion.

(Decided to remove the rest of the remaning parts of the intorduction for later in the storyline. lol)

This looks like a description of individual characters. It is should not be in the first chapter of the book. In fact, you do not need to give a background of so many characters. Focus on the Valerie, her sister and her uncle. Slowly introuduce other characters as the story progress. You might want to include flashbacks by certain characters.
